Mie matcha, by request.

Mie is the third-largest tea prefecture in Japan and a specialist in shaded tea. Much of the tencha behind Kyoto-finished matcha grows here. We source named Mie lots on request, with the field and the mill on the paperwork.

Why Mie

Where a lot of 'Kyoto' matcha actually grows.

The industry definition of Uji matcha allows leaf from Mie, finished in Kyoto. Buying Mie tencha directly, named as Mie, gets you the same fields at a more honest price. Good umami, steady supply, larger lots than Kyoto can offer.

Questions buyers ask about Mie

Is Mie matcha the same as Uji matcha?
Often the same leaf. The difference is where it was finished and what the bag says. We name Mie as Mie.
What volume can you supply?
Larger lots than Kyoto. Tell us the monthly need and we plan it with the mill.
